SHIVANI SHELLY SINGH

BSc (FNU)

  • My name is Shivani Singh and I am a Master’s student at Fiji National University. I am from originally from Suva, Fiji. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry from Fiji National University in 2021.

I enjoy using my skills and knowledge in animal medicine to contribute in the growth and development of the agricultural sector in Fiji. I am currently working on setting up the first Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) surveillance system and program in Fiji for livestock in collaboration with Public Health. Since AMR is a rising concern worldwide, Fiji needs to take part in evaluating its current position in AMR. I have always strived to use my knowledge and skills that I have gained to help animals that are endangered. AMR is something that not only effects public health but also affects animal health.
